How to Build a System
See in detail how to build a complete
Aviom personal mixing system. (0:40)

How It Works

An Aviom personal mixing system distributes up to 16 channels of audio—typically a combination of inserts, direct outs, and auxes or groups—to individual performers' Personal Mixers, which performers use to customize their monitor mix. All audio is distributed over standard Cat-5e cables, using Aviom's A-Net® digital audio connectivity technology.

An Aviom personal mixing system can be easily tailored to meet the exact needs of any ensemble, facility, or organization. The system is fully modular, nearly infinitely expandable, and very easy to set up, so getting started building a system is simple and straightforward.

System Basics: Easy Setup for Customized Monitor Mixes

Aviom personal mixing systems use your existing audio, typically a combination of various outputs from your analog or digital console. An Aviom input module or console card takes these signals and outputs them as a Pro16 A-Net digital stream. Cat-5e cables are used to distribute the audio to individual performers' Aviom Personal Mixers.

Performers may use any listening device of their choice—wired or wireless in-ear monitors or earphones, headphones, or monitor speakers.

All audio for the system is distributed using A-Net, Aviom's revolutionary digital audio networking technology, over standard Cat-5e cables. A-Net provides the simplicity of plug-and-play setup, the fidelity of full bandwidth digital audio, and the reliability of a solution with hundreds of thousands of nodes in the field today.
