In addition to the ability to control their monitor mixes with ease, the Brandon Grissom band members appreciate the ease with which they are able to fit the Aviom system into their unique setups.

“It has allowed the band to fully take control of their performance and tone while almost eliminating any time needed for setting monitor levels.”

Road manager Aaron Ruse explains, "Each band member has developed his own setup and A-16II placement that seamlessly works into his own instrument rig. Most members have created custom cable looms that incorporate their instrument cables and headphone extensions in one lead to keep cable clutter to a minimum. One unifying characteristic appreciated by all the band members is the low profile placement options afforded by the A-16II. We can keep a very clean stage presence by using these convenient little mixers instead of large wedges."

Improved Overall Sound

Not only do the Aviom Personal Mixers improve the playing experience for the members of the band, but they also help to improve the overall sound of the band's performances. The AN-16/i-M is "a great backbone to the system," explains Ruse. "With its great sounding, full featured mic pres and huge dynamic range, the band has almost eliminated the need for any additional processing when creating their personal mixes. We were able to ditch the monitor console altogether."

Simplified Setup For Any Venue

Ruse also explains that the Aviom system has not only helped the band and crew but it "has also proven to be very convenient to many venues who can now simply take the passive mic level outputs from the AN-16/i-M to their FOH console. Gone are the days of filling band riders with input and monitor needs. Venues love us. We now have a fully self contained system from instruments to FOH snake."
