“I love the Aviom system. It fulfills my needs - and the band's completely, from the elegance and user friendliness of the design to the flexibility and amazing sonic quality.”

award-wining band Chicago. From 1967 to 1990, Seraphine played on and helped produce 18 gold and 13 platinum albums, 50 Top 40 hits, including 20 Top 10 singles, and 5 number ones.

Now, Danny is sounding better than ever and he's on the road with his new group, California Transit Authority, in support of their great new record "Full Circle" and he's got an Aviom personal monitor system with him.

A longtime headphone wearer who for years mixed his own monitors with a cumbersome monitor board behind him on stage (see photo), Danny made the switch to IEMs and the Aviom Pro16 system was exactly the modern solution he'd been waiting for.

"I love the Aviom system," declared the CTA bandleader. "It fulfills my needs - and the band's completely, from the elegance and user friendliness of the design to the flexibility and amazing sonic quality. Needless to say, CTA is proud to be a part of the Aviom artist team."

Danny was introduced to guitarist Marc Bonilla by drummer extraordinaire Greg Bissonette and as soon as they started jamming together, they developed a rapport. Seraphine and Bonilla initially put a band together to play for several charity benefit shows. The response was so overwhelming that they decided to get serious and put a full 70-minute set together and so "CTA" was born.

Included in the new band's repertoire are several Chicago songs, including "Make Me Smile," "25 or 6 to 4," "South California Purples," "Happy Cause I'm Going Home," "Devil's Sweet" and Steve Winwood's "I'm A Man". Also included is a be-bop number co-written by Seraphine, which features a drum solo Seraphine describes as "challenging". Danny also considers "Something Different" (a hard-driving jazz-rock cover of a Cannonball Adderley song) to be the band's signature piece, which highlights Bonilla's virtuosity as both a player and an arranger.
