Day 14: “You’re A Mean One Mr. Grinch”

It wouldn’t be Christmas for many of us without a Grinch encounter. The lyrics of “You’re A Mean One Mr. Grinch” were written by Dr. Seuss (Theodor Seuss Geisel) himself. Albert Hague composed the song for the 1966 version of the cartoon special How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Screen shots of the cartoon are shown in this YouTube video with Thurl Ravenscroft performing.

Fun fact: Ravenscroft was better known for being the voice of Tony the Tiger in the Frosted Flakes commercials.
