As many music fans, U.S. historians and Baby Boomers recall San Francisco and celebrate the 40th anniversary of "The Summer of Love," today's high-profile concert events have made 2007 "The Summer of Aviom."
Aviom's personal monitor mixing system and digital snakes are on the road with musicians and live sound professionals working the summer's biggest music events the world over.

In the cradle of American independence, Philadelphia, hometown heroes Hall & Oates treated the rain-soaked 4th of July crowd with an outstanding 90-minute performance of their greatest hits. Broadcast live on ABC television, the band used Aviom personal mixers for their monitors.
For the past several weeks, SIA Acoustics has been using an Aviom Pro64 digital snake (featuring the new 6416dio Digital I/O Module) with great success at MAD SQ. MUSIC, a Wednesday evening series held in New York City's Madison Square Park. These concerts feature well-known performers from a variety of genres, including jazz and R&B.
The 8-piece horn section playing behind popular adult contemporary vocalist Michael Buble are also taking it personal, using the Aviom monitor mixing system on their current world tour. Monitor engineer Craig Brittain reported from the field that “the horn section loves it and is very happy. Aviom’s a big hit.” Craig added that the system has been a huge help to him with many of the songs’ sophisticated horn arrangements.
Overseas, U.K. sound company Wigwam has been supporting international superstar George Michael's stadium tour with Aviom personal monitor mixers for the band as a key element of their impressive production. The shows they've done include the first two shows ever in the new Wembley stadium in London.

InfoComm 07 was the perfect platform for Aviom to introduce the "Art & Science of Moving Audio" and launch a host of new products for the AV systems integration market.
|
The 2007 edition of InfoComm, held last month in Anaheim, CA, boasted 31,300 attendees (its largest attendance ever), with a record 855 exhibitors participating this year, an 11 percent increase over the previous record of 770 in 2006. It's being called "the biggest AV tradeshow in history."
Aviom certainly benefited from this huge platform, as the number of booth visitors at the show equalled what we normally would receive for three shows. So, if trade shows are an opportunity to unveil new technology and introduce a company to a new users, then InfoComm '07 was a huge success for Aviom.
InfoComm is attended by AV dealers, independent reps, design consultants, systems integrators, rental and staging companies, and AV buyers from business, government, education, healthcare, retail, entertainment and Houses of Worship.
