6416m Mic Input Module to debut at NAB 2008

NAB Show 08

This April 14-17, the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) will host its annual convention and trade show at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The worlds of broadcasting, film, and post-production will come together at the NAB Show™ to discover what's new in audio and video at the show that NAB identifies as the place "where content comes to life."

Coming to life in Aviom's booth at NAB this year, N8236, will be the new 6416m Mic Input Module in its first US public appearance. The 6416m Mic Input Module, RCI Remote Control Interface, and MCS Mic Control Surface have already begun to tour the globe, and engineers, users, and designers worldwide are raving about the sound quality of the mic preamps and the flexibility of the remote control.

The Ultimate Mic Pre

The remote-controllable 6416m provides 16 state-of-the-art mic-level analog inputs to a Pro64 system. Each channel features continuous gain control, +48V phantom power, low cut filter, phase invert, mute, and a network activation button. With a switchable pad per channel, the 6416m also accepts balanced line-level inputs.

Audio settings for each channel can be configured from the front panel or controlled remotely using the optional RCI Remote Control Interface combined with the MCS Mic Control Surface. A single MCS can be used to control all 6416m Mic Input Modules in a Pro64® network or those assigned to a particular Control Group. Sixteen mic preamp presets can be saved in each 6416m.

With the addition of the 6416m, RCI, and MCS to the Pro64 Series of products, you can create a powerful audio network that can take any combination of mic, line, or digital audio signals and move them effortlessly in real time, without compromises. Now you can transport, split, and control mic signals with unprecedented simplicity, flexibility, and reliability—combined with the highest audio fidelity.
